Energy Security and the Role of Shale Gas: American Experience and Polish Prospects conference is jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and the Embassy of the United States of America in Warsaw. Professor Włodzimierz Kurnik, Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology is the host of the event.

The key conference objectives are:

  • Provide accurate information on U.S. energy company exploration plans and likely timeline to confirm commercial viability of Polish shale gas
  • Explain U.S. shale gas experience – how shale was developed and the consequences for domestic U.S. gas supplies
  • Outline implications for Poland and Europe if Polish geology and operating environment allows significant development of shale resources

This one-day conference will be held at the Warsaw University of Technology, Mała Aula, in Warsaw, Plac Politechniki 1 on April 8, 2010, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Simultaneous translation will be provided.
